Guaranteed Admission Agreements
PVCC has Guaranteed Admission Agreements with all public colleges and most private colleges in Virginia. To learn more, visit the Guaranteed Admissions & Transfer page.
Dual Enrollment
If you are still in high school and looking for opportunities to enhance your education now at Charlottesville High School, PVCC offers a variety of dual enrollment courses that can save you time and money when you transfer those credits to your future institution of higher learning.
Early College Program
CHS also offers an Early College Program through PVCC that may be appropriate for some students. Through this program, you can graduate high school with an Associate's Degree already completed. Reach out to your school counselor to see if this program is right for you.
Scholarships
The PVCC Educational Foundation offers over 100 scholarships each year. Scholarships come from a variety of sources, and unlike loans, do not have to be repaid.
Effective December 1, 2020, there is no separate scholarship application. PVCC offers a one-step financial aid and scholarship assistance process. To be considered for any scholarships, financial aid, or grants, you must complete a FAFSA application. Scholarships, along with financial aid and grants, will be awarded through the financial aid office to meet each student's tuition, fees, and book needs.
The FAFSA application is scheduled to open on October 1, 2025. The application is located at www.fafsa.gov. On your FAFSA, indicate PVCC as the institution you plan to attend for the 2026-2027 school year. The FAFSA application for 2026-2027 will use your tax information from 2024.
